LAURA TAYLOR - IN MEMORIAM -

On June 10, 2003 Laura Elizabeth Taylor passed on to a better place. She was a 2001 graduate of Eisenhower High School and involved in many activities during her time at Ike. After graduation Laura attended Paul Quinn University in Dallas her first year. Next she attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. In 2003 she was attending North Harris College where she was actively pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology.

In the words of her close friend, LaDena S. King:

I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that Laura was truly one of the greatest people to know and one of the best friends to ever have in this lifetime, and to me she was more than that... like a big sister. Whenever there were times I was down and needed direction in my life she was always there for me. All she ever had to do was simply SMILE. Anyone who knew Laura knew that her smile could brighten the darkest room. I will always cherish the times we shared rather it was in the choir room, on competitions, on choir trips, at Sam Houston or just at a football games. On behalf of the alumni of the Eisenhower Varsity and Mixed Choirs, friends, family and myself, I want to say that she will really be missed but never forgotten.
