  • 1973 - Paul Brown

    Paul graduated from the University of Houston in 1977 where he was a reporter for the 'Daily Cougar.' He worked for the Houston Post Company (newspaper) all through his college years. Paul also took 30 graduate hours at the School of Education, University of Houston. He was a member of Alpha Mu Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity. Paul was a legislative aide to the Texas House of Representatives 1975-1979. He was a weekly columnist for 'Northwest News' 1972-1983. This was a local area paper.

    Paul was employed for twenty-five years with Fluor Corporation and he now contracts out to oil and gas companies. He is a certified Catechist (teacher) in the Archdioces of Galveston-Houston. (teaching 1988-Present) Since graduation he has lived in Saudi Arabia (4 years), New York (1 1/2 years), Canada (6 months) -
    Paul raised three kids (19, 22,24.) His son graduated from Eisenhower in 2003. (updated 08/07)

  • 1973 - Mike Jones

    Mike passed away in 2007. He had a fall at work (a construction job), hit his head, went into a coma and died.(updated 05/09)

  • 1973 - Thomas E. Nate

    After high school, Thomas attended Sam Houston State and graduated with a BBA in Marketing. Currently he is employed as General Manager of Company Operations for Tex-Best Travel Centers. He has been married 20 years to his wife, Irma, and has a 3 year old son, Joshua. They live in Bandera, Texas.

    Tom is in St. Louis right now, with his wife, recovering from a second double lung transplant. His first transplant lasted about a year, and then his body rejected the transplant. .

  • 1974 - Gail Eckman Clayton

    Gail married in 1975 and had 2 children that are now 24 & 22. She was divorced in 1988. Gail is a pharmacist at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in the Texas Medical Center.(updated 02/03)

  • 1974 - Gina McCoy Cox

    Gina is living in Katy, Texas and is the mother of 4 children ranging from elementary school to high school. She is the PTO President at Katy Junior High School where she works with Principal Joe Cammarata who was a 1975 graduate of Eisenhower High School. Small world, huh? (updated 09/02)

  • 1974 - Thomas Floyd

    Thomas graduated from Stephen F. Austin S.U. with a BBA in 1978 and an MBA in Logistics Management in 1981. He worked as a purchasing agent for Temple Inland for several years after graduation. He is married (21 Yrs) and has one son age 15. Thomas joined the Army in 1986 and was commissioned as a Logistics Officer. He has lived in Germany, New York, Massachusetts, Louisiana, Texas and Virginia and deployed to places all over the world. Currently he is serving (22 years) and living in Heidelberg Germany, where he is a Logistics Planner for the US Army in Europe. Thomas will retire in 2009 or 2010 depending on circumstances with either 23 or 24 years of service.

  • 1975 - Alison Cook

    Alison graduated from North Texas State University in 1979 with a BA in Journalism. She moved to Ireland and earned a Masters in Mass Communication from Dublin City University in 1991. In 1996, Alison married Houstonian and community development CEO Stephan Fairfield. They moved to Cambridge, MA for her husband's Harvard Fellowship during the 2003-04 academic year. Alison now lives in Houston's Fifth Ward with her husband and three young daughters.

    Kim passed away on July 10, 2009 in Columbus, Texas. She was 51 years old.

    Scott has returned to Channel 13 as a news photographer. He also shoots for the Conroe Courier, working on the police beat. He is not married.

  • 1977 - Robert Condrey

    Robert is married and has an 18 year old daughter and 3 step children ranging from 14 to 29 years of age. He worked in IT for Pennzoil for over 26 years, but now works for a major grocery chain here in Houston and also does private security (loss prevention) work. (updated 11/07)

    Cynthia restores vintage movie posters for private collectors and now lives in Los Angeles. (updated 11/02)

  • 1978 - Cynthia Boren Conditt

    Cynthia attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies. She lived in Nacogdoches for 25 years. Two years ago she moved to Austin with her husband, Jim, and their 2 children, Clint (15) and Sabina (8). Cynthia's mother, Myrlie Boren, was a science/chemistry teacher at Eisenhower for many years, coming after Cynthia graduated in 1978. Mrs. Boren passed away from ovarian cancer in October of 1995 while living in Nacogdoches. (updated 02/07)

  • 1978 - JoAnn Simons Escobedo

    JoAnn has been married for almost 23 years (she married George in November of 1979.) They have 3 children: Eric, who is 21, and the twins, Aimee and Ian, who are 16. They live in Humble, Texas (Yes, the big bad rivals.)

    Jo Ann has worked in information technology since graduating from Ike. She started at Pennzoil the summer after graduation (so the Data Processing courses were good for something.) After working at several companies over the years, she is now at Waste Management as a Trainer. Currently this company is going towards Web-based training and CBT's as an alternative for Instructor led training. Jo Ann has several professional certifications and has now trained about 5000 people in the Legacy system, Point of Sales, and Call tracking software.

    Jo Ann dropped out of college after she married, but is now working on her BA. She says it's never too late to learn! She is really interested in getting in touch with old classmates.(updated 09/02)

  • 1978 - Margaret Smith Santana

    Margaret received a BS in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University in 1982. She worked as a juvenile probation officer with Harris County. Eventually she returned to college at the University of Houston and received her teaching certificate and has been teaching 5th grade in Houston ISD for 16 years. Margaret has one daughter, Samantha, who is 18. They live in Spring, TX. She would love to hear from any of her old IKE classmates.(updated 01/03)

    Roger (Hicks while attending Ike) started at Eisenhower when it opened and left in 1976 to finish school in Spring, TX., but he will always be an Ike Eagle at heart. (updated 09/08)
