Eratosthenes Finds Diameter of Earth!
Students estimate the diameter and circumference of the Earth by repeating Eratosthenes’ experiment. Email is used to exchange measured data and results. The WWW is used to research the mathematical and scientific contributions of Eratosthenes.

A Fractal Lesson
Learn what a fractal is, make one yourself, then look at fractal resources on the Internet in this lesson for elementary and middle school students.
Playing the Market
This lesson uses the Internet to research a company in the stock market. Students find a description of a company and its products and a report of its earnings during the past year. They track stock data and analyze and graph it using Mathematica.
